Dr. Gerald Da Roza
Dr. Gerald Da Roza has undergraduate training in Mathematics & Statistics and a Master’s in Health Sciences from the University of British Columbia (UBC). He is a clinical Professor in the UBC Division of Nephrology within the Department of Medicine. He is currently the Head of Medicine at Royal Columbian Hospital, Director of the Royal Columbian Hospital Clinical Teaching Unit, Division Head of Fraser Health Nephrology and associate Site Medical Director for Royal Columbian Hospital. Dr. Da Roza has conducted a variety of research studies which were initially focused on epidemiology, biostatistics and population health. His current focus is participation in multi-centre clinical trials as well as health outcome-based research. He has also worked with a diverse group of scientists at UBC who have been successful in obtaining several CIHR grants and a patent regarding the development of novel peritoneal dialysis solutions.
