Dr. Lucas Valtuille

Dr Lucas Valtuille graduated in Medicine from the University of Buenos Aires in 2003. He completed his Cardiology training in 2008 and is also a Certified Specialist in Cardiology from the University of Buenos Aires. Cardiac Electrophysiology training started in 2008 at the Favaloro Foundation in Buenos Aires. Later, he emigrated to Alberta to complete a Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. Dr Valtuille has been a Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) since 2012. He was staff physician in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Alberta Hospital from 2012 to 2019. During this time, he participated in Industry-led and original research. His research training includes the Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program (GCSRT) from Harvard Medical School, from which he graduated in 2015. He has been a Staff Physician at the Royal Columbian Hospital and UBC associate since 2020. His special areas of interest include Complex ablations and Intracardiac Echocardiography.
